The veterinary profession, like all higher-degree professions (medicine, law, accounting, etc.), requires its members to complete continuing education (CE) hours each year. In Oklahoma veterinarians must complete twenty CE hours each year to maintain their license. Because she practices only on cats, Dr. Miller can attend feline CE exclusively, which helps her stay at the forefront of developments in feline medicine.
