We're looking for a few good people to help us continue to provide the highest-quality feline medicine in central Oklahoma!
We're looking for a full-time licensed veterinary technician or veterinary assistant with one–two years' experience. (Veterinary assistant candidates with six month's experience or current enrollment in a veterinary technician degree program are also welcome to apply, but preference will be given to assistants/technicians with greater experience.) This is a demanding position with long hours (overtime is possible) and a daunting amount to learn. The position requires someone who is capable of working as a team player, is highly motivated to learn new skills and solve problems independently, can communicate effectively with the public and other team members, is not afraid of handling cats, and (for veterinary assistant candidates) has a desire to pursue advanced skills (including veterinary technician certification). (See below for a full job description for the veterinary assistant; an LVT/CVT would be expected to have the advanced assistant skills.)
The position is also highly rewarding. You'll have a daily positive impact on cats' lives and will participate in a wide range of challenging medical and surgical cases.
Starting salary for technicians is $12.00–$15.00/hr, depending on experience. Starting salaries for veterinary assistants is $9.00–$12.00/hr, depending on experience. Benefits include paid vacation and sick leave, six paid holidays, SIMPLE-IRA retirement plan with company match, profit sharing, paid CE, discount on Clinic services and purchases.
